Ok, so weΓÇÖre back on the main time line. Now you should import the one frame swf you made with the eight squares of the board on it. Once youΓÇÖve got it imported, select all and move it to the middle of the stage.
Break the graphic apart and double-click the outline of the squares to select the entire outline but not the fills. Cut the selected outlines out and paste them back into the exactly the same spot you cut them from them on a new layer. In fact, you can make another a third layer and paste them there too. (You should now have one layer with just the fills, and two other layers both containing the same outline.)
